Not a band - this time, let's take focus to a local German event in Essen, North Rhine Westphalia district!
LOCAL FESTIVAL
This event will take place on September 24, 2022 in the Weststadthalle in Essen, ROCKEN HILFT (ROCKING HELPS) Festival. The headliner of the evening is the Düsseldorf-based punk rock band ROGERS. From punk rock to metal core, the ROCKEN HILFT initiative wants to contribute to the destigmatization of mental disorder. Partly the earnings of the event goes to institutions such as Prof. Dr. Eggers Foundation and the Child Protection Association Essen e. V. In addition to the musical program, there will be tattooing and piercing for a good cause by the tattoo studio Farbenwerk, and there will also be a charity raffle. The Essen food truck Snack 'N' Roll provides delicious delicacies.
Back story - Initiative
ROCKEN HILFT has set itself the goal of drawing attention to the situation of people with mental illnesses, educating them and reducing fear and prejudice. We want to ensure that help arrives where it is needed and is not slowed down or even prevented by prejudice. Anyone who recognizes their problems and actively works or wants to work on them should not feel ashamed or excluded.

STATEMENTS from public figures, e.g. Artists & musicians and experts, such as B. Psychologists;
ATTENTION POSTS, with which we inform about different topics. Support and advise us in this regard, e.g. Psychotherapists and psychologists (e.g. from the Prof. Dr. Eggers Foundation).

Back story - über die Initiative
Die Kampagne ROCKEN HILFT ist im März 2020 an den Start gegangen. Der Leitgedanke ist die Entstigmatisierung psychischer Erkrankungen.Um dies zu erreichen, werden Personen des öffentlichen Lebens - u.a. Künstler und Musiker, sowie Experten, wie z.B. Psychologen - zu Wort kommen. Mit ihren Statements stehen sie im Mittelpunkt der Kampagne. Inhaltlich arbeiten ROCKEN HILFT eng mit der Prof. Dr. Eggers Stiftung zusammen und unterstützen diese ehrenamtlich.
