K-INDIE FESTIVAL
Berlin & Hamburg
Some days ago, the Korean embassy in Berlin announced again a concert series of Korean rock bands. If you remember, you regnorized the feature I done 2022 about Harry Big Button (Blog Post 2022). This time, the K-Indie Festival will including 4 bands, who are splitted into different concerts in Hamburg (27th June 2024, Gruenspan) and Berlin (29th + 30th June 2024, Kesselhaus). Band TOUCHED will perform on 27th June in Hamburg and on 29th June in Berlin. Today, let's take a focus to them!
Back story
TOUCHED are an four-member band under Yunmin (Vocal & Guitar), Kim Seungbin (Drums), John B. Kim (Bass) and Chae Dohyeon (Keyboard). The band members are alumni of the Department of Practical Music at Seoul National University of Arts. After their graduation, they wanted to create music with strong charisma and not limiting themselves to a specific music genre.
In 2020, the group won the grand prize at "The 31st Yoo Jae-ha Music Competition." Since then, TOUCHED raised their profile by winning competitions as "2021
INDIESTANCE," "Rising Star 4U," and "Pyeongtaek National Band Competition." In 2021, the members released their first EP [Purple].
If some of you are familiar with Korean Broadcast shows, you know that their is an amount of "survival shows". In 2022, the members joined Mnet’s show "Great Seoul Invasion" and built up a loyal fan base. TOUCHED ended the show as the winner of all competitors. Soon after TOUCHED made their international debut at the ‘OCTOPOP 2022’ music festival in Bangkok, they gained attention for their outstanding performance on.
